Ok, so I realize this thread is over a decade old, but it is the only one I
found in my searches which discusses the problem I'm having. To wit: my
Squeezebox radios sometimes power up on their own. Originally they would
power up and begin playing music, but I found and changed the "Power On
Resume" setting to prevent this (I have it set to "Pause at power off;
Remain paused at power on", but I have also tried the corresponding "Stop /
Remain Stopped" option as well with the same results).

So now the problem is just that they power on "randomly" (by which I mean I
am not telling them to power on -- I realize there must be something going
on to cause this and it isn't actually random). But because I often do not
notice this has happened, and because I have most of the players in my
house synced, I usually discover this has happened when I start playing
music in my kitchen and I hear it start up in other rooms in the house as
well. Usually it is just a minor annoyance, but it can cause problems if my
partner is on a work call in a room with a player.

Data points:
* I also have Booms and a Transporter in my environment, and this does not
happen with them.
* When it happens, I believe it happens to all of the Radios, not just some
of them.
* I believe it always happens when the Radio loses power (either by being
unplugged or a power outage) and then power is restored -- even when the
Radio was turned off before it loses power. I am not certain that this is
the only time that it happens.
* I am running LMS 8.3.0, but I was seeing this behavior on earlier
versions as well. I don't know the earliest version I saw it on.
* My Radios all have firmware 7.7.3-r16676
* I have no alarms set, and I have "All Alarms" set to "Off".
* The "Synchronize Power" setting is set to "Power off/on separately" for
all players.

If it only happens after an outage/unplug-replug (which may be the case),
then it really seems very similar to the PC BIOS setting for how to handle
it when power is lost and restored, and it acts like it is set to always
power on in this case. But I cannot find any place to change this setting
on the Radio. I've looked in the server settings (both global and player
settings), and at the settings using the Radio UI itself. That said, it's
definitely possible I've overlooked something.

Can anyone shed any light on this? It's not the end of the world but I
would like to get to the bottom of it.

Thanks for reading my novel!
