In my new WiFi6 setup (damn!) I've got the Router, with a few Ethernet sockets, a wireless TV box with an Ethernet socket, and a WiFi extender box again with an Ethernet socket. (French Freebox Pop kit, for what it's worth).
Obviously, those two extension boxes can connect WiFi to the router, or can connect LAN to the router. However, I "assumed" that, with the boxes connected to the router via WiFi, their LAN sockets would be outputs as well as inputs - and I could plug a Touch or a Radio into them, bypassing the troublesome WiFi6. But, so far as I can tell, the LANs are IN only - an SB device plugged in reports "No LAN Connection". (Those on the Router work fine as OUT). Is that "as expected"? In my innocence, I thought that LAN sockets were always both IN and OUT. Am I wrong, as it seems? 8.2.1 - 1639114554 Win11 Control: Web GUI; MaterialSkin on Android phones / pads Machines / devices are in France, in two locations. a) Livebox 6 Internal HDD (FLAC music; mp3 voice), LAN Desktop 3 x Touch - 1 wireless, 2 LAN.
