I had seen that thread and applied that to my configuration but I have not seen any significant change. As a consequence, I continued searching for a solution and ended up giving usbconnectd, but the complete solution is not working fine for me as described 'here' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?113661-Start-restart-squeezelite-when-plug-in-USB-dac&p=1066509&viewfull=1#post1066509)... :(
