This is exactly the problem I had when trying to use PuTTY or Tunnelier
to do the tunnelling. I couldn't figure it out so I just ended up using
Softsqueeze for the tunnelling part. 

I guessed it was the tunnel configuration in PuTTY/Tunnelier because
the Softsqueeze tunnel worked ok.
