The last time I used ClarkConnect it was the 2.2
Firewall/VPN version. I had no need for any
server capabilities, I wanted a firewall.
Worked fine on my cable ISP connection. When I
switched to DSL it became an unmanageable
nightmare for some reason. It was only
half-working, required daily reboots, etc.
I dropped it.
But now that I'm in Slim-land, I may be interested
again.
I'd certainly like to go this route rather than
NAS. It'll still be cheaper as Infrant NAS boxes
are ~$1000 CDN around here, and even my old AMD
K6-2/400 will be faster.
I guess my question is, how much memory is
required to have SlimServer really perform well on
CC? I have 192 MB memory for it. The board will
support up to 768 MB, but that's using 3 X $100
PC133 256 MB sticks!
