Don't calls to the US cost about 3p/1.5p (using calling cards/ Sipgate)? this is probably just as cheap as some of the numbers you have to call for UK based support. At least you will know you will get in touch with someone.
Got to be cheaper than calling NTL and waiting 60 minutes before you are answered at 3p a minute?
