The COMPRESSED does not matter from a user perspective, at least not if you don't specify how much compression you'd like, for example in hours of music per GB. The WITHOUT NEED FOR INTERMEDIATE SERVER-SIDE TRANSCODING is not part of the problem but part of your proposed solution. I'd rather the next SB would not be even more expensive. I don't like paying for licenses I'll never use, and I don't like to support stuff that uses closed file formats. WMA in the SB3 is bad enough, really :) C.
