OK, using debugging via the command line, I figured out what is happening. SlimServer is parsing my cue sheets, and then looking for the referenced .wav files.
I used EAC to create cue sheets when ripping to flac. EAC put the cue sheets in the root folder, instead of in the album folder (not sure why). So the file names in the .cue file have paths relative to the folder in which EAC placed the .cue file. SlimServer is combining that path with the path to the folder it is currently scanning, resulting in a huge and invalid path, for example: E:\My Music\Library\Licensed\Beethoven\Favourite Piano Sonatas (1971) - A. Brendel\CD 2\Ludwig van Beethoven\Favourite Piano Sonatas (1971) - Alfred Brendel (1971)\06 - Sonata No 21 in C major op 53 'Waldstein'; 3. Rondo (Allegretto moderato - Prestissimo).wav This path is 261 characters long. I think this is what is causing the crash. SlimServer should either know not to treat .cue as playlists, or let me tell it to ignore .cue files completely. And it should always validate the path length before looking for the file. -- veloearl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ veloearl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3045 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19555 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
