I did say "might", because I wasn't at all sure it was needed.
Two possible reasons. One, that it might then be practical and useful
to turn one folder off at times. The other, that making an entry in a
list in SlimServer avoids all the issues of creating links, which
some people may find difficult. Not everyone wants to use a
command-line, and it is work to find a GUI program to create a link.
