I have exactly the same problem with two SB3's I got for Christmas. Wired works like a dream as soon as I try wireless I have no end of problems. Crashes, as you have experienced, and also frequent "factory reset" where it looses its MAC address something I have hardly ever come across. I am getting very low signal strength at the devices (only one room from the router in each case) so in desperation I have moved one of them right next to the wireless router and still I see the message "Connecting to wireless network..." every minute or so and sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't - and thats with 100% signal strength !
I have tried changing channel with no obvious improvement as well as some good suggestions from the good folk on this forum but have now run out of ideas.
