This is definitely still a problem. I posted this in an earlier thread. All MP3s on which I have used the iTunes volume adjust feature generate a hideously loud white noise when played back on my SB3 if the SB3's Volume Adjustment was turned on.
As a test, I took a track that sounded fine on the Squeezebox: 1) Increased the volume slightly in iTunes 2) Set the volume adjustment back to zero in iTunes 3) Rescanned my library in Slimserver 4) Played the song on the Squeezebox 5) Nearly destroyed my speakers For more information please see my original THREAD. http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=19456 No one’s given me a solution yet other than shutting off SB3's smart Volume Adjustment feature. I tried moving the slider back to zero (the center position) and it still didn't work.
