Go to Start - Run and type:

services.msc

I'm not on my SlimServer computer right now, but I
believe it should either be called Slim or SlimServer.
 Right-click on it. Either select Stop, then Start or
try Restart.

However the abnormal starting problem may need more
troubleshooting - someone else will have to comment on
that.

Try to start it normally again though.  Perhaps it was
just a slight glitch after installation.
