I have seen several references that using the
SB2/3 volume control on digital outputs degrades
the sound, so I have set it fixed.
However I'd like to try the ReplayGain volume
adjustment option.
How does that work from SlimServer's perspective?
Is it some sort of real-time process done by
SlimServer or does it just alter the player volume
based on the ReplayGain data? Does it override
the fixed volume setting and alter the volume that
way?
