I'm also looking for a remote for my SB collection. I was thinking about a PocketPC, but most of them only have wireless B in them, and I don't want to bring my network down.
Get yourself a cheap access point and create a separate music network. My SBs are on their own network. I don't care about throughput in that part while I'm connecteing my Zaurus (b only) to it.
Has anybody used the Nokia 770 AND Telcanto?
I don't (living in Switzerland, too). But the difference is imho much less in the device than the method used: while the 770 is using the web interface, Telcanto is a native application.
The Telcanto updates coming out later than the Slim software is certainly a very big downside, but having it's own front end is great as my music collection is pretty big (40k+)
Do you use it? I think they're currently reworking the backend from XML (web) to CLI. This might further improve the experience.
