This may be a tough fix. I remember hearing that ReplayGain data is stored at the start of the file (or maybe the end?) At any rate, if it's not stored continuously throughout the file, resuming from a portion in the middle would lose the data. The data will have to be cached somewhere. It would require a firmware change. BTW next time I'll do a search through the bug list first.
