Okay, I looked at this differently: "where is that command line coming
from?"

On my machine, it's in convert.conf (not surprisingly -- it was the
first place I looked), but it is commented out.  (ie, the only place
the "--decode" option appears.)

Did you change convert.conf?

Something is certainly wrong there: it shouldn't be wanting to convert
mp3 to flac under any normal condition (the fidelity is already lost,
whether decoded on the server or the squeezebox ... may as well send it
to the sb as an mp3 and save on bandwidth).  But that's why it's
commented out in my copy, which is how it was when I got it.
