Yeah, but you are never going to improve on the quality of the original
iTunes-purchased MP4, are you? So changing the format is wasteful.

Well, obviously. Which is why I only buy stuff on iTunes that is
unavailable in other places (for example, Belle and Sebastian recent
released an album there that won't be released anywhere else).
