I think there's still a lot of potential improvement in the interface...some of this will come from enhancements to the skin (ajax/DOM refresh on the now playing page replacing the full page refresh will be huge), some of it from Nokia improvements (let's be honest, even with the newest firmware it could be a wee bit snappier).
