This was my problem.  I was used to x-10.

It is expensive to get the initial system installed and 
set up, especially if you can't do it yourself.  The 
Aprilaire thermostats (8870) that work with the 
netlinx modules run about $280.

I was in the middle of browsing the site when sf.net 
starting having problems.  I'm quite stoked at 
the prospect of this actually on the horizon!
