I have a PC with 2 network cards installed to 2 seperate cable modems. Connection 1 is connected to a modem here at my desk which is also the same network my slim server is installed on. My slimserver is an older model (not wireless). A couple of weeks ago I added a second cable line (modem) to my home in which i set up a wireless network. I installed a wireless card on my pc so i could also use this second network that i set up upstairs. I did this so my family wouldn't have to deal with me killing all the bandwith on my desk's connection (edonkey, filesharing). My problem is this: When i have my wireless connection disabled in 'network and dial up connections' the slim server runs fine. When I have the wireless turned on, The slim server wont find the player. As soon as i turn off the wireless connection, It finds the player.
Is there a way to specify exactly which network card the slimserver should use to connect to the player? That way i would be able to use my wireless network on my pc while i have my slimserver started. Thank you for any help!!!
