While the Linkstation is a cool peice of kit, it is limited by its
relatively slow cpu (233mhz) and 64mb of ram. My Kurobox HG has a
faster cpu (266mhz) and 128mb of ram and I can generate these sort of
break-ups if I try to get the server to do too many things at once.

Slimserver 6.2 does have some diagnostic functions under the Help
Section called Server & Network Health. Turn on the diagnostics and
run your SBs as you normally would and then review the numbers
displayed.

Couple of other things to check are the ethernet cables, the
linkstation may only be conncting at 10mbs, not expected 100mbs, if the
cable is a bit dodgy. Also what format of music are you streaming? WAV
files can overwhelm a network, whereas Flac is also lossless, but with a
smaller network foorptint.

Hope this helps
Pete
