Despite the fact of having copied the two unicode fonts (Code2000 an
Cyberbit) into the required folder \Slimserver\server\graphics as
outlined on this page, the Squeezebox 3 can still not display the
Cyrillic characters of my Russian language ID3 tag files.
By the way, with my computer switched off and being connected to
SqueezeNetwork the RSS of BBC Russia doesn't work either.

It looks like this feed is in the CP-1251
I've just added that encoding to the XML Parser.
In the mean time, you can grab the language pack here:
http://uucode.com/xml/perl/
and drop the .enc files in \Slimserver\server\CPAN\XML\Parser\Encodings\
