I'm trying to get connected to some radio stations that do their streaming in WMA format. I found the wiki entry
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?WMA which got me close, but I'm not there yet. My log file looks like this: LAME version 3.96.1 (http://lame.sourceforge.net/) Using polyphase lowpass filter, transition band: 17249 Hz - 17782 Hz Encoding <stdin> to <stdout> Encoding as 44.1 kHz 128 kbps stereo MPEG-1 Layer III (11x) qval=5 Assuming raw pcm input file : Forcing byte-swapping : Error while opening file The wiki entry specifies wma mp3 * * [ffmpeg] -v 0 -i $FILES$ -f wave - | [lame] -x -m s -r -S -q 5 -s 44.1 - - I thought that perhaps for IR, there's no filename supplied to the converter, so I deleted the "-i $FILES$". That seemed to help (someone who cares might want to update the Wiki; I don't know if there's a way to have this work for .wav files as well as radio...) But now I get Assuming raw pcm input file : Forcing byte-swapping LAME version 3.96.1 (http://lame.sourceforge.net/) Using polyphase lowpass filter, transition band: 17249 Hz - 17782 Hz Encoding <stdin> to <stdout> Encoding as 44.1 kHz 128 kbps stereo MPEG-1 Layer III (11x) qval=5 /dev/dsp: No such device Could not find audio grab device I'm doing this on an NSLU2 running Unslung5.5b. There's a /dev/dsp entry in the file system. # ls -l /dev/dsp crw-r--r-- 1 root root 14, 3 Dec 31 1969 /dev/dsp I'm in treacherous waters here. Can anyone help?
