This new version of software to drive my SLIMP3 has SERIOUS issues.
First I lost my playlists. Then, I get lists that have as many as 5
blank lines between items.
How do I get back to the older version that actually worked?
Gee, how do you normally install older software? Have you tried simply uninstalling the new software and reinstalling the old? There won't be any firmware issues to deal with -- the SliMP3 has not had a firmware update since the 2.3 firmware release. You can hardly blame anyone but yourself -- unless someone put a gun to your head to force you to upgrade.
BTW I've been running two SliMP3's just fine since the 4.x software -- and currently on the 6.5 beta software (great in fact). If you're willing to invest even a small amount of time into diagnosing what is actually going wrong then you should not need to downgrade. But it doesn't sound like you're in any state of mind -- you just want to vent off on somebody.
