Slim does not commit to release dates. Some may not like this but it's better than rushing something that isn't ready.
Slim also does not release alphas either. You have 3 choices: 1. Stable: 6.2.1. 2. Latest bugfix: 6.2.2. Updated nightly. The only thing holding back the release is the new firmware - currently 33 for the SB2/3. 3. Beta: 6.5. 6.2.2 does not contain any new features, only bugfixes. 6.5 contains new features but is in beta. 7.0 would I guess be the alpha but it is not public, nor is there much discussion about it, although I'm only now just starting to follow the developers forum.
