I've just bought a second hand SLIMP3 player. Nice machine, but mine doesn't work like it should. It finds te server, but when i press "play" it hangs. The menu freezes and i cannot ping the player anymore.
It tried many different setups: - ss (winxp) 4.2.4 on laptop via linksys router and WiFI - ss (winxp) 6.2 on laptop via linksys router and WiFI - ss (winxp) 6.2 on desktop via linksys router and ethernet - ss (debian under VMware/win32) 4.2 on desktop via linksys router and ethernet - ss (debian under VMware/win32) 6.2 on desktop via linksys router and ethernet - ss (winxp) 6.2 on desktop via crossover cable - ss (debian under VMware/win32) 4.2 on desktop crossover cable - ss (debian under VMware/win32) 6.2 on desktop crossover cable I've also upgraded the firmware from v2.2 to v2.3. I tried both automatic and manual configs. The player can find the server without any problems (and has for a moment even played some music!) but it's unstable as hell! Does this sound familiar to someone ?
