For the money we're talking about, I'd want a device that isn't tethered to my WiFi range. At the very least I'd want FM, but I'd be disappointed if it didn't also have a CD player.
I like the proposed idea of having some kind of storage on board so you could bring that music with you, but to me that wouldn't remove the need for radio and CD. If a friend has a CD with them, it would be nice to be able to play it.
