IIRC, it's used during automatic discovery. IOW when the SB wakes up,
it sends out hellos.

For some firewalls it matters whether the port should be opened for UDP
or TCP. 9090 and 9000 need to be TCP. I think 3493 needs to be both UDP
and TCP.
