Well I finally put some time into using the Slimp3 with 6.2.2 and it still skips. Not as often but it's still stalls. The log file has no mention of the stall so I must have not had the right debugger on. Only server was on. I'm not sure how the other got turned off but I'm going back to 6.0.2 and will have to turn iTunes support off. I didn't turn on Server & Network Health so it's no help.
Apple Front Row looks promising as a replacement. I'll have to wait and see if somebody comes out with a dedicated display, I don't want to have to turn the tv on to play music. ID3v2 found.
