It would work, but because it's wired to the access point, not as wireless. It must be wired to either: - a wired router - a wired port on a wireless router - a wired switch - a wired hub - a wireless access point/bridge (which offers a wired connection to a wireless network) - directly to a PC using a crossover cable.
