If you want to access SlimServer from the Internet, you should picture
what you're trying to do. You'll access the IP address you obtained
through DDNS. This will bring you to your router - then what?
Everything behind your router is not directly connected to the
Internet, it's on your private network. So you need to "port forward"
the relevant ports to SlimServer. This way, requests for SlimServer
ports get forwarded to SlimServer.

Forward port 3483, both TCP and UDP, and port 9000 TCP, to the IP
address of SlimServer.

You say you also want to access your ReadyNAS from the Internet? Does
it run SlimServer or does it just contain files? I'm not sure what
ports you need to forward here...and this is very, very dangerous.
You're exposing all the files to everyone. If you're lucky, you'll
just lose the files. What's more likely is that your ReadyNAS will
become a server for who knows what bad stuff!

Port-forwarding your SlimServer is risky too. I don't think the script
kiddies know what it does yet, but they will be hammering away at it
within minutes. At the very minimum, you should set Server Settings -
Security - Password Protection, and if you're connecting from a static
IP address, Block Incoming Connections with the IP address added to the
Allowed IP Addresses field. You should also set CSRF Protection Level
to High.

But it would really be best to do it through SSH, although someone else
will have to help you with that.

All this is not very useful, unfortunately. Many high-speed
connections have limited upload capacity. You definitely won't be able
to stream FLAC or maybe even 320 kbps MP3s.
