Get Cat 5e as a minimum.  If you're considering longer runs (i.e. more
than 25 feet) then go for Cat 6.

Not sure what you mean here.  If you want to link wirelessly, use a
wireless bridge.  If you want to use one of the DG834's wired ports,
use Cat 5e or Cat 6 for longer runs.

The 25 foot thing was off the top of my head - hopefully someone else
will comment on longer runs.  Definitely use Cat 6 for longer runs.  I
don't know what the proper length limit should be for each type though.
