Perhaps you're referring to an "abbreviated" browser window, which is just another browser window without the menus and URL bar.
This is not considered good browser behavior anymore because you can't see what URL you're visiting nor can you access any controls to stop certain things from happening - downloads, for example. Browser makers are trying to stop programs and websites from doing this. From what I understand, it will be impossible in IE7. Firefox highly discourages it and blocking of this behavior is coming. I'm not sure if SlimServer was changed to accommodate this practice but given as it's strongly discouraged and won't be supported in a year they did the right thing in changing it, and in fact wouldn't be able to use it anyway. I'm also not sure what changes you can make to force 6.2.1 to use an abbreviated window. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22609 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
