I'm a little surprized about this whole thread. While most of my computers are some flavor of Linux, and my Slimserver is running on Mandriva, I very rarely use an X-window into it. Mostly, I ignore it completely, it runs and works. When I do stuff, it is nearly always with an ssh shell. All the graphical GUI stuff is nice for some people, but hardly needed to manage a SlimServer. And I hardly ever manage mine, it runs Samba, I rip files on Windows and drag and drop them onto the SlimServer, and I'm done. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
