So do I - I go back to 6.2.1 after running into some issue with the betas. I do understand everything we're being told about beta code etc - on the other hand, I can't recall those caveats being highlighted on the "buy now!" page... :-) With 6.2.1, what works is to create playlists in SS itself. They disappear here and there, for some reason, but all in all they seem to make it OK if you abide by the following cardinal rule: Keep the "My Playlist" folder where SS likes it, and make that the default. In my case, it's at the same folder hierarchy as the artists are. I never created the folder, by the way, SS did. So if you create playlists within SS and have that "My Playlist" folder as your default, things should work for plalists you save off the SS menu onn the "right" in your browser. It is constricting, and at times you have to rescan, but I'll live with the predictable limitation rather than embracing unpredictability. I am still married, after all. :-) *Forget* about creating playlists with Windows Media Player 10, it will not work. From looking at the M3Us in text format it seems WMP and SS use different formats. I assume they should be compatible, but aren't. The SS doesn't seem to like to use line breaks, but on the other hand is more accurate with the file path (it spells out "G:\Music\Artist", while WMP like to store "..\Music\Artist\"), but editing will not overcome the issue. I'll go for a different programm to create playlists and overall manage the music collection, but I haven't put my research in yet to decide what to go for. -- pablolie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22646 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
