You could save yourself one SqueezeBox if you used a PC in it's place, in the basement (running SoftSqueeze). Since you need a PC anyway, it's not like you're buying an extra piece of equipment. On the other hand, you would then have to go to the basement to use the PC :) That said, the basement seems to be an uncommonly popular place to put the music server, and you may already have it there if it's connected to your amp directly.
