I just checked in a new feature to the Nokia770 skin. It's something I long ago envisioned as something I really wanted in a slimserver browser, and part of the original motivation of me taking on the skin development responsibilities for this thing. For lack of a better name, I'm calling it "1-by-1 Artwork". It's not perfect by any means, but I like it. After getting the new code (svn update or tomorrow's daily), look for the "1-by-1 Artwork" icon underneath the traditional "Artwork" icon on the skin's home page. Basically, it's a way of thumbing through your collection cover-by-cover in a pseudo-similar way to "the old days", when you might have thumbed through the jewel cases in a CD collection. I've even heard that there was a day when people listened to music on a medium made of vinyl discs that you played with a needle, and the covers were *huge*. That's probably just a story though... Attached are two screenshots. Even if you don't like the new feature, you can agree that The Fixx had a couple of the coolest covers of the last 25 years (alright, I'll admit it, I actually once had "Reach the Beach" on vinyl.
