Kyle, you mensioned 0.x vs x.0

This happens a lot on Open Source Software where they have an open
source code repositry where you can get the bleeding edge version any
time you want, but the official releases are 0.x+1. Most of the time
the developers considder their software to be in a constant state of
rapid development so don't want to decrare the software as 1.0

For example MythTV is sitting at 0.19 right now. This isn't 0.1.9, more
like "the 19th set of compiled binaries we consider a release version".
In theory when they get to 0.99 it could go to 1.0 or just continue to
0.100. there are no hard and fast rules for this sort of thing :)

But what KDF and JJZolx said is more relevant to Slimserver development
