Hi Peter, that's exactly the problem I had :-) Due to the fact that the display was lit when selecting the song, I didn't even think about the brightness ... all seems to be working fine so far and I'm very happy with my purchase.
If now I would know a bit about the life expectancy of the display I could decide whether to leave a screensaver (clock) switch on when the SB is off or better just have it on when really using it. Anyway ... thanks for your reply.
