I experienced this problem when wireless link was around 60% (using Netgear 834). I disabled fade in fade out but SB continued to crash but only on tracks coded at 224Kb VBR.
Investigation of network traffic showed that it was peaking to maximum on track changeover, causing the box to crash. The box did not crash when run with wireless at 90%+ - close to the router. There probably is a bug which does not allow the box to recover in the conditons when wireless throughput is limited to 1Mb/s or so. I fixed the problem by setting the streaming rate to 128Kb/s or less depending on wireless signal level.
