I would suggest deleting your entire slimserversql.db before upgrading to 6.5, rather than trying to initiate a full rescan once installed. The databases are quite different, and I couldn't get the webui to start up in order to initiate a rescan when upgrading / downgrading (although this was with XP, not Linux).
