-Just an update....- I tested SlimServer under the following conditions: SlimServer running Media Player 'installed'/recognized in 'Squeezebox' pane Playlist consisting of consistent, stable 128k stream URL loaded, but in 'STOP' status. slim.exe using approx. 64k memory w/0-1% CPU usage. Wireless Media Player on, with 'SlimServer' selected.
Slimserver has been in this status for 12hrs. now. No CPU loading whatsoever. Media Player stays connected. In other words, no problems so long as stream isn't in 'Play' mode. Can I assume that all of 'processes' that Slimserver performs in the background are running while in this state, including the plug-ins, library checking, etc....and if so, can't I eliminate those as culprits, and focus solely on the server's 'play' mode? I plan to put an album that's currently in iTunes into a playlist & have it repeat indefinitely through Slimserver. If SlimServer remains stable for several hours while playing this, wouldn't I be able to narrow it down solely to streaming?
