Any way back to the NAS thanks for all the info and pointers, Cheers Mark for the suggestion of sticking with Qnap or Infrant, have read... well almost all of the Qnap posts. And think for me its the way to go. Cheers. I understand that all the initial hdd probs are sorted and its somewhat of a decent device to have. The USB or eSATA attachable drive I guess this can also be used for music files and the embeded SS can also read from this, or any other hdd on the network? - just thinking way way in the future....
