I have heard others mention this problem, but I forget who. It also sounds like it may be related to this bug : http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1434 as there has been some suggestion that it's missing the start of the next track rather than the end of the current one. It's often hard to tell which.
