Kinda.  I have to listen really hard to hear the differences between a
168 kbps VBR MP3 and a FLAC.  Maybe I'm weird, or deaf, but that's just
me.

I have all my CD's ripped to FLAC and MP3, but I only keep the FLAC
offline presently.  Personally, I'm waiting for big disks (500GB+) to
drop in price so I can bring a RAID array online for reasonable cost.

Yup.  iPod's for walking/gym/the wife really likes hers, and a PhatBox
in the car, where I won't want to be playing FLAC's (cartridges aren't
big enough, and quality really doesn't matter there).
