Just made up my Power One PSU and am surprised how hot it gets, even with the SB in standby. I have perhaps shoe-horned it into too small a box, but it is well ventilated, and I have ensure the heat sink buts up against the steel case. Surprisingly it is the transformer that gets really hot, rather than the regulator. Should I be concerned ? Is it worth fitting a mains power off switch for when not in use ?
One word of advice - don't connect the -ve output to earth as I did. All sorts of wierd behaviour. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: DSC01693.JPE | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1343| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- mortod ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mortod's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4651 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24088 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
