Could be controlled with a PDA and software like NetRemote. Although, probably not a lot of people know than things like NetRemote exist. Not necessarily, depending on your player software. For instance, in J River Media Center, you can set up zones and each zone can have a different output. Basically, this is how I do my pool-side audio now, but instead of multiple sound cards (or a "virtual" sound card), I use the front and rear channels on a single sound card. I have JRMC set up with two zones one goes out to front left & right where I have my PC speakers connected, and the other goes to rear left & right where I have my outdoor speakers connected. When I'm listening to music outside, I control it with NetRemote on my PDA. I never hear the PC sounds outside, plus I don't get the outdoor tunes playing through the PC speakers. I know, this has nothing to do with Sondigo (hate the name), but I'm pretty proud of myself for figuring it all out. :-p -- MeSue Sue PS: I once wanted a Squeezebox boombox, but I don't anymore. ;-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MeSue's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=985 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24332 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
