I wasn't disparaging the remote. I like it too. But devices which don't have discrete on/off codes are still a hassle. It's not the remote's fault. Its inevitable. Yes, "help" is cool, but lost on my 85 year old father-in-law from India. Thankfully I only have one device with this problem and its acceptable to just leave it on.
I continue to have intermittent problems with my NAD T743 receiver. Occasionally (~10%), it misses a signal for no apparent reason. Usually, a second attempt works fine. I've seen this in a variety of situations so I don't think it has to do with signal strength or line-of-sight. Doubling the delay values helped somewhat.
Perhaps I should try relearning the NAD's remote codes. I have noticed that it steps volume up and down two "steps" at a time, so maybe some of the other codes aren't 100% correct either.

Well I guess everyone's experiences vary but I've been using Harmony
remotes for 3 years now and there's no way I (or my fiance) would use
anything else, they're fantastic. It does sometimes get confused, but
rarely and 10 seconds with the Help function fixes it. That's worth it
to for the amazing usability improvements the remotes bring.
