Thanks for the positive feedback, i have the cad plan for the plastic part as a pdf if any one wants it. The piece cost about £65 pounds including all plastic and machining and the assembly. If i was going to do it again i would make the front plate thicker as you can just see the lens colour showing through.
It certainly is a talking point in our house when new guest use the bathroom, they allways remark that its a lot of effort for a digital clock! But they see the worth when i spark it up into audio player mode!
