No, but the built in IR receiver inside the SB can. If you simply want to repeat the IR signal back through the blaster there is a walk through in the Wiki. If you want to trap the IR command received to do things to your SB this can be achieved by mapping the appropriate code in the slim_devices_remote.ir file. If you want to capture the IR signal and send it somewhere else (e.g for home automation) you can use the xPL plugin to transmit the received IR codes to another xPL enable device.
Lots of options, except mounting the IR receiver physically remote from the SB. There are plenty of commercial repeaters that will allow you to do that as well.
